Buzznet is full of awesome stuff all year round. Both the Story Teller`s Groupand that our months are based around a theme (which is new this year) make being on the site more interesting. May stands for Making Memories, while in the new group assignment you have to tell about amazing gigs from your past...or future.
Now, I`ll attempt to time travel. I thought I combine the two assignments and go back to the future in 26th May 2013. That is the day when myself and friends WILL head out to Slam Dunk Festival in Hatfield, England to make memories and see bunch of cool bands.
Take a look on who I am excited to see.
All Time Low
I think I basically moved to England to see ATL live on my birthdays and on festivals. This will be the 4th time seeing them in a year`s of time. You can`t blame me, can ya? These guys always put on a great show and make me laugh so much.
Kids In Glass Houses
I saw the Welsh band playing an anniversary show at a tiny sweaty gig in August and it`s one of my favourite shows. This time, I can`t wait to see how they work big time and sing along to Diamond Days with firends on the streets...haha, I wanted to do that since the day I fell in love with KIGH. I hope they will play new songs as well.
I really want to see William since there is no chance to see The Academy Is... in the upcoming months especially at this side of the pond and I love his solo EPs anyway. I might have to sacrifice seeing others for him though.
Pierce The Veil + Sleeping With Sirens
Just recovered from the Spring Fever along with All Time Low, PTV will headline the Monster Energy Stage while SWS playing the Main Stage. I feel like a surprise live collaboration will happen...that I will miss because it`s clashing with ATL...oh.
They opened Reading Festival with a spectacular afternoon gig last year and their songs are just perfect live. I`m secretly hoping they will play some of the deluxe versions of the Fools and Worthless Liars album although this festival might not be the place for those.
He is another singer going solo after his band`s (Jack`s Mannequin) break up. I saw his Buzznet exclusive performance which was amazing. I`m looking forward hearing more but this time in person.
They are one of the most exciting upcoming British bands with a signature sound and I find it underestimating to play a small stage. Also, I`m all about a surprise jump-in when two bands with previous collaborations are in one place so Aled of KIGH, I`m counting on you!
I`ll leave you with this now, although I could continue on going with The Summer Set, Tonight Alive, Mallory Knox, We Are The Ocean and more but I must find a DeLorean or hot tub time machine since my old favourite band and my new favourite band are clashing and I will lack in memories. And you know who I`m missing from this line up? The 1975.
Hollywood was struck with the tragic death of actor Paul Walker on Saturday, who was best known for his leading role in the Fast and the Furious franchise. Paul died in a tragic car accident in Santa Clarita, California after he and a friend slammed into a light pole while driving a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. He was 40-years-old.
