Green Day to Headline Reading&Leeds Festivals
Whey! Looks like I will be re-living 2012 all over again!
Reading&Leeds festivals announced Green Day as third headliner alongside Biffy Clyro and Eminem to perform at this year`s festival plus a bunch of other new act as well. Let`s take a look!

One could easily guess The Lumineers and Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Frank Turner, Haim or even Mallory Knox since they are super popular these days but White Lies and Editors were sort of a surprise to me. I was secretly hoping for Green Day and there I got it. Everything in my life should happen just like that. And the big Nine Inch Nails – and previously announced Fall Out Boy - comeback…wow!
Quite impressing, the names are all great and this isn`t a full line-up yet, although I don`t think they can compare to last year. My first sentence was quite literal therefore. For instance, Green Day played a secret morning show in 2012 (that I almost completely missed out on). Twin Atlantic, The Blackout, Hadouken!, Palma Violets, Azaelia Banks, Theme Park, Jake Bugg –sure I`ve missed someone - are all coming back in 2013.
While playing at R&L (or any other) festivals two years in a row is a huge honour to every artist, lot of people are kind of bummed about this line-up until. As a festival goer I can totally relate to this because no one wants to see the same performances each year so bringing back previous acts in such a short term doesn`t seem like a good move. I am also happy that some of my favourite artists will get the chance to play again at a bigger stage with bigger audience and maybe a more relevant set (because of new albums, etc) this time. Yet again…you just can`t please everyone.
My request is to bring back Paramore no matter how 2012 would that be and to make people more upset, invite Black Veil Brides too! That would be awesome then.
Who would you like to see if you were attending? Do you think it`s a good idea to bring back performers from last year?
You'll ♥
