Introducing The Band: The 1975
Once upon a time, there was a girl who really wanted to see her new favourite band live while they are in town. The girl is me. The band is The 1975. The show is in London. TONIGHT! That`s what I realized while relaxing in the tub at 9:30pm when there is absolutely no chance to get ready, buy tickets to a sold out event and catch the train to the Borderline in time. Being a scatterbrained, I totally forgot to go so I decided to introduce them just to compensate for the failure.
Matthew Healy (guitar and vocals), Ross MacDonald (bass), Adam Hann (guitar) and George Daniel (drums) formed the band in Manchester. Their first EP, 'Facedown' came out last summer via the indie label Dirty Hit and the second EP, 'Sex' followed it few months later. The 1975`s third 'Music For Cars' EP is set to be released on 4th March in the UK and 5th March in the US and the long-awaited debut album will also come in 2013.
The term "long-awaited" might sounds like an overstatement in such short period of a band`s success but they are truly amazing, write catchy tunes and everyone`s talking about them in the UK at the moment...and hopefully all around the world soon.

The songs above are only the most popular ones and you might have heard on the radio before but if you would like to listen more, head over to the band`s Facebook page!
Their current UK tour is finished until May when they`ll return at The Great Escape festival on Brighton`s beach. In the meantime, they are touring all over Europe and the US including SXSW so don`t miss out on the chance of seeing them live!
What song is your favourite? Are you going to see them live during spring?
