Introducing: LAYLA

Awesome Fall Out Boy, Vampire Weekend and Parachute album/single/tour news whatsoever (don`t get me wrong, I`m pretty stoked about them), there are still plenty of amazing and talented musicians who are waiting for their big breakthrough all over the world.

The British Jose Vanders - running under the name LAYLA in music these days - is also one of them. According to Jose`s Facebook page, her first performances took place at a pub in Greenwich (London, UK) in 2006 and she played alongside such big names as Ben Howard, Ed Sheeran, Noah and the Whale or even Justin Young of The Vaccines. She attended at Texas` famous SXSW Festival and recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London as well. I discovered her via Indigo Records recently, who I can also thank my love on another new band Morain (keep your eyes and ears open because this record label knows how to find real artists with actual talent and support them).

This talented young lady also had a courageous thought and dragged along her piano to different locations in London in the middle of a cold winter night simply to play music. Isn`t that amazing? Respect for playing in that underwater tunel (it goes through under the river Thames in Greenwich) that is even creepy during the day.
