Well here FOX supports the other political party/view it isn't anymore corrupt than then rest, it is just the minority! So the majority makes them out to be corrupt! I agree with you about corps!

It is complicated ! We have 2 political parties! Most of our media is supported by and in turn supports one side! The other 2 news organizations/channels support the other side! So our news is always slanted one way or another! The political parties determines what attention is given to what stories! Good news comes from the BBC!

hehe yeah, I know what you mean :) I mean, lots of people have different opinions of course...it's like a lot corporate London i.e The Bankers, the Insurance Companies will like a lot of what FOX does and what SKY does and what our government does because it benefits them. There was a time when your average person on the street like me wouldn't know what corporations were doing, how corrupt things can be but now...information is free from anywhere and I think people are really starting to see the darker sides to media and not be so driven by it all.

Lol that article is crazy! Health and Safety regulations are so funny. the BBC could get shut down though if they went against them...it's mental!

I learn more and more everyday. I didn`t know UK is on a different opinion but I think UK isn`t really part of Europe if you know what I mean. It`s a whole different world.

I know what you mean about the media. Here in the UK, we're very wary of your news channel called FOX news. not wary, aware of lol. It's similar to our news channel called SKY News. They are super corrupt, that's why the majority of us here only rely on the BBC channels for accurate and non bias news and opinions :)
The media is a scary corporation....but I really don't like most corporations or corporate people lol

unfortunately, the UK doesn't think that America anymore. well, not when it comes to their media like FOX news. Their FOX news is similar to our Sky News...it's full of corruption. That's why the UK relies so much on the BBC. the UK cares a lot about the future of America though, it's in our blood too and it's a hugely important and powerful country :)

it`s interesting what you said about the media being corrupt and controlled. why is it good to fool the folks?...here in Europe everyone thinks USA is the field of freedom and opportunities but the truth is a whole different thing I guess.

We weren't expecting to know who won for days because the polls had the race so close! I was surprised that it was over as quick as it was! Our media is so corrupt and controlled ! To learn world news and the truth about what is happening here we (as in my family) go to BBC online!

I'm sorry that things didn't go the way that you wanted :( That always sucks...politics sucks but it's so interesting too :) Dec and I managed to stay up another hour after that but crashed before Obama won lol

It really wasn't a happy election for me! I didn't really like either candidate to be quite honest! The guy I wanted didn't survive the primaries! But, the majority has spoken and it is over now for another 4 years! Thank you for being so enthusiastic about what is going on in the USA!!! You rock Kat ! Oh, and Dec does too! (((:

Yes hehe it was pretty rough! To be honest, I never used to know a lot about history, it's only recently that I started to learn bits and pieces :) enjoy the election, Dec and I are watching it on the news also, not sure we can watch it all though, it's already 3am here! *hugs*

Wow! That is a lot of "Dark"! I know very little about history, and what I do know is American history! We are only 200ish years old, so there isn't that much to know! I am watching election coverage right now! More history being made while we speak! (:

Hehe yes, it was pretty 'Dark'. It was a time when the plague hit England, the dungeons were set up and the witch trials (which happened only a few miles from where I was born hehe) took place! After that era of time was over, things got much better :)

It is horrific !!! I know nothing about the Dark Ages, but this is painting a picture of it! :(
