We`ve got some wood that needs to be chopped but Pixie is working on it.
I`ve talked about some cultural differences with few other users before such as using air conditioner in your house and having pool. Well, none of those things are that common in Europe and I don`t even get the AC thing of the Americans to be honest. We use the blinds on our windows to not to let the hot air in.
The next thing is that we do chop our own wood for winter... In Hungarian villages at least, as I haven`t seen anyone doing it during my time in the UK and towns have central gas heating. You buy the wood in spring/summer, chop it and put it on a safe place to dry out until winter comes and you need heating. It`s quite hard work but my dad have built a machine for us that helps. That`s how it works. Of course there are some people who heat with gas but wood is cheaper and makes your house warmer. No fire place though...we`ve got so called furnace and you out fire in that.
Today`s cultural lesson has come to an end, haha. I thought I`d share this with you as there are so many differences between cultures. Things that are part of one`s life, aren`t to other`s at the other side of the world. I might start a new series with different topics each time and everyone could share their version in the comments. What do you think?
