Celebrating Water
Bonjour!
It`s World Water Day so I`m posting this photo of the water of the river Seine in Paris from September + a swimming tennis ball. If you are lucky enough to have clear tap water each day, please try to value it not today only but all year round and don`t waste it.
I`m trying as well and realized it`s better to have a hot bath than running the shower for 15 or more minutes because you won`t waste that much water with it and it`s more relaxing. Also, opening the tap while brushing your teeth is simply a stupid move, not to mention when doing the washing up.
If you live in a house with hanging guttering on it, put a big barrel at the end where the water comes off to collect the rain and use that to water your plants in summer. It`s very practical and you`ll save lots of water and money. My family does that each year with two barrels that contains about 400 litres of water all together and they often not enough to collect all the water that comes down the roof after a very rainy day. My dogs also prefer drinking the rain.
I don`t buy bottled water either.
Well, this post turned into a instruction on how to save water! I hope you`ve learned something new :D
