Birthday Girl
I totally forgot yesterday was the 9 years anniversary that Bundas joined our family (I feel bad because I keep forgetting my pet`s birthdays). I don`t know when was she born so I count her birthday from the day I took her home. I might have told this story before but who remembers now...I`m going to tell it again.
It was a snowy day on the 28th February, 2004. 2 days after my mum`s birthday. She took my siblings up to the hills to slide in the snow and stayed home with dad who was working on something in the garage. Litte 13 years old me was bored in the house and had a big thought: I knew one of our neighbours (who also happened to me some kind of cousins to us) had puppies and that mum found them really cute. So I asked dad if can pick one up and take it home (our previous dog, Alex died about 3 months ago then and the garden felt so empty without a dog). Surprisingly he didn`t say no so I went to get a dog.
I wanted one of Bundas` siblings at first but the family wanted to keep that one so I picked her. I walked home with puppy Bundas in my arms and dad was like "Wow! I didn`t think you`ll do it for real!". I think he was hard at concentrating on his work when I asked previously, haha. Of course mum and my siblings were surprised too after they got home from the snow-fun. My excuse to her was, that it`s a late birthday present for her. Truth is, I surprised myself for my mum`s birthday but it was an actual big surprise for everyone.
Bundas was simply staring at me all the way home. I think she was a bit scared and had no idea what was happening to her. She spent the first few days under the car in the garage then she slowly got used to the new place after a week and even came out to play with us in the snow. The rest is history...
